Long-term visas
National visas for staying in Spain longer than 90 days and living there.
Digital Nomad visa
For employees and freelancers working remotely for companies or clients outside Spain. Income from Spanish companies may not exceed 20% of total income (Ley 28/2022).

Work (employment) visa
For foreign nationals over 16 who will work in Spain under an employment contract.
Student (study) visa
For students undertaking long-term studies at a recognised institution in Spain. For courses up to 90 days a Schengen visa is enough.
Highly qualified worker visa
For professionals hired into highly qualified roles or senior positions who have suitable education or professional experience.
Researcher visa
For researchers carrying out research under a research contract or hosting agreement, and the related teaching staff.
Intra-company transfer visa
For managers, specialists or trainees who have worked within the group for at least 3 months before the transfer.
Short-term visas
Schengen visas for staying up to 90 days within any 180-day period.
Tourist (visit) visa
For people travelling for tourism, sightseeing or leisure.
Short-course student visa
For people attending studies or training in Spain lasting less than 3 months. Studies over 90 days require the national student visa.
Business trip visa
For people travelling for business meetings, conferences or negotiations (not to take up employment in Spain).
Family/friend visit visa
For people visiting relatives or friends who live in Spain.
